The pageant walk is more conservative, less forward, but smiling is encouraged. The high-fashion runway walk is a little over-exaggerated with a 
lot of character; you have to enhance the walk and place your feet a little differently (and there’s not much smiling.) On the runway, top models are fierce and fabulous; pageant winners are lovely and conservative.
